Shingle Flats Work Weekend

Date: September  TBD, 2025

Location: Shingle Flat - Council Mountain, Near Council Idaho. Directions: From Council North on US-95. Turn right onto Mill Creek Rd/NF-165 follow 5.2 miles. This is were NF-183 splits off of NF-165

Dispersed camping with vault toilet.

What to expect: Is this a trail or a cow trail? 

There are 6 routes that converge on the mountain. The trails on the South side of the mountain in sections are difficult to follow due to erosion, fire and cattle grazing. Lots of hand work IE, Stacking rocks, Pulaski type.  Will be working on a of *LOST* or faint trails to hopefully get them more noticeable so they get ridden more. Trails are some Blue to more Black Diamond Bill Dart rated.
