Directions From Cascade, Idaho

From Cascade, SR-55, head east on Warm Lake Rd NF-22 for about 24 miles.

Just after Warm Lake Kiosk, turn right on FS-427 Stolle Meadows Rd. FS-427 becomes FS-474 about 3 miles from NF-22, continue to camp another 3 miles.

The site is on the south side of the road at the intersection of 474 & 478. Please look for signs.

DON'T follow your google or GPS lady-in-a-box by going out from camp. (north to Cascade) On the open part of FS-474 from where 427 and 474 split, the road dead-ends at the closure, there is a very small turnaround that you cannot turn around in at all but the smallest trailers, you will have to back out!

A few VERY important things to note:
1) Closest RV Dump Station Cascade.
2) Groceries, fuel, ice, etc. all available in Cascade. 32 miles
3) Please pack out what you pack in.
4) Please do not create new fire rings!
6) Potable water

The beach at warm lake. This was late fall after the season. Great place to relax. Only a few miles down the road.

Know-before-you-go tips:

Prior to the event, check Boise National Forest website for any updated Order and Closure notices.

We suggest using Avenza PDF Maps for Android or Apple devices for determining GPS location while on the trail system. Once installed, users should download USFS Motorvehicle Use Maps (MVUMs) for Boise National Forest, Ranger Districts including Cascade east side, Emmett east side, and Lowman. (MVUMs are the legal-document map set stating where motorized use may occur but do not include topography.)  An unlimited number of free maps can be downloaded from the Avenza Map Store when using the free version of Avenza.

Use IDPR's trails.idaho.gov online OHV trail map to research the trail system in detail. Start by searching on "Stolle Meadows" to center on then zoom into the area of interest. You can then produce and export custom GPS-capable PDF maps with topographic detail or other formats you can choose, to then import to Avenza to supplement the MVUMs. (The State map website reflects up-to-date access and closures per USFS MVUMs and may be more up-to-date than private mapping apps such as On-X.) Up-to-three custom or external-source georeferenced PDF maps may be imported into the free edition of Avenza, or upgrade to Pro version for unlimited custom map importing.
