Come on out and join in the fun! TVTMA is hosting the Annual Chili Ride.
This year the Chili Ride will be held in the Murphy area at Diamond Basin. Weather forecast is nice with a 100% chance of fun. Come out early to camp on Friday -- folks should be arriving late afternoon into the evening.
We'll start serving up chili at 3 PM Saturday. We encourage you to bring a side dish if you can. Recommendations are corn bread, salads, fruit, cookies or a dessert.
Saturday at 10:00 am we will have two (2) rides. The first will cater to the less experienced riders and should be about 30 miles in length and cover moderate terrain rideable by all. The second ride will cater to the more advanced rider and will probably be around 40 miles and will throw in some more challenging terrain.
Sunday at 10:00 am we will have Two (2) rides again. The first will be a kids ride. The second will be an all hands Chili Ride -- big group, slower pace -- lots of fun and pictures.
We will also mark out a beginner kids type course so the kids can follow some ribbon on a safe and accessible area to ride in.
As always, TVTMA will have campfires in the evening -- please bring along firewood if you have it!
Directions: From Murphy travel East on Hwy 78 for about 4.5 miles to the Silver City Road. Turn Right/South and travel on the Silver City Road for 6 miles. There turn Right onto the dirt road and follow the road to corrals, about 1 mile. Look for the TVTMA signs.
