Baumgartner: Father’s Day Work Weekend, June 17-18th, 2017
In preparation for the State Ride, we are going to have a work weekend and start getting trails cleared and ready for the state ride. Brian King will be hosting/coordinating this work weekend. The plan is to stage (camp and ride) out of lower Baumgartner. Baumgartner is easy to get to (10ish miles east of Featherville), and has a sweet hotsprings to soak in. Trails are varied and include many “easier” trails to accommodate all skill levels. This is a work project, so plan on packing a saw or trail tool on the trail (log throwers are needed also if you’re not comfortable riding with a tool). Please pack a lunch/snacks; dinner Saturday will be provided. Please RSVP so enough lobster and soufflé can be prepared for all.
Rider Meeting each day at 9-9:15. Hit the trail around 9:30.
Directions: 84 to Mt. Home, head towards Fairfield on Hwy 20. From Highway 20, turn left and go north 30 miles on Pine-Featherville Rd (Forest Road #61) and theneast 11 mileson Forest Road #227, Baumgartner will be on the right(south side). We will likely be camped across the bridge and to the right…down by the river in the free camping (provided it’s not under water)
